(Makes ~1 cup)
Ingredients
- ½ cup ube halaya (ube jam)
- ½ cup water or milk (water = clearer purple, milk = creamier)
- ½–¾ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, whisk together ube halaya and liquid over low heat until smooth.
- Add sugar and continue stirring until fully dissolved and slightly thickened (5–7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Let cool, then store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

🧊 Iced Ube Latte
Ingredients
- Ice
- ¾ cup milk of choice (oat, whole, or coconut are best)
- 2–3 tbsp homemade ube syrup
- 1–2 shots espresso or ½ cup strong cold brew
Optional “Other World” Cold Foam
- ¼ cup heavy cream or coconut cream
- 1 tsp ube syrup or vanilla syrup
- Tiny pinch of activated charcoal (optional, for shadowy swirls)
🕯️ Instructions
- Add ube syrup to a glass and swirl it around the sides.
- Fill the glass with ice, then pour in milk.
- Slowly add espresso or cold brew to create layered contrast.
- Froth cold foam ingredients and spoon gently on top.
- Finish with edible shimmer, black sugar, or a chocolate button garnish.
