🪡🗝️ “Through the Little Door” Iced Ube Latte Recipe

Sweet, velvety, and just a little uncanny.

💜 Homemade Ube Syrup

(Makes ~1 cup)

Ingredients

  • ½ cup ube halaya (ube jam)
  • ½ cup water or milk (water = clearer purple, milk = creamier)
  • ½–¾ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together ube halaya and liquid over low heat until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and continue stirring until fully dissolved and slightly thickened (5–7 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. Let cool, then store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Tip: Strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother, café-style syrup.
